This is wonderful marked wood lined Sterling Silver Commemorative Presentation box, measuring 8" X 3 1 2" X 2 1 2" with a hinged lid. It is marked STERLING near the maker mark on the bottom of the box. The top is engraved: TO OUR SKIPPER P D QUIRK FROM OFFICERS OF THE U S S GRIDLEY The front face of the box is engraved with the names of the ships 24 officers, who presented the box. Inside the box is an old clipping, with
